The month of March is the beginning of storm season, usually lasting through October. The week of March 3-9, 2013 is Severe Weather Preparedness Week. McLean County EMA held its annual weather spotting class at Heartland Community College on Thursday, March 7th. Myself and several other Colfax EMA members attended this class.

Tornado sirens will be sounded the first Tuesday of each month during the storm season.
