*Effective Wednesday June 28th, no burning in the Village of Colfax and surrounding areas until further notice. Extreme drought-like conditions in Central Illinois and our area have made outdoor burning extremely dangerous. This includes all outdoor brushfires and small burn pits and excludes grills. The Colfax Fire Department retains the authority to order any fire to be extinguished at our discretion.
