Pick up for leaves

This notice is for all residents who rake leaves as they begin to fall. The Village of Colfax recently purchased a leaf vacuum and trailer to remove piles of leaves placed along the edge of the street. Please pile brush (sticks, limbs) in a separate pile from leaves. This should reduce the need of burning to improve the air quality of citizens that have respiratory problems. Every attempt will be made to pick up leaves as soon as possible.
