NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

VILLAGE OF COLFAX, MCLEAN COUNTY, ILLINOIS

FIRST AMENDMENT TO COLFAX BUSINESS DISTRICT (BD) NO. 1

The Village of Colfax, McLean County, Illinois, an Illinois Municipal Corporation, hereby gives Notice of a

Public Hearing to be held at 6:00 pm, Central Time, on March 2, 2026, at the Colfax Village Hall, 307 N.

Harrison Street, Colfax, Illinois, to consider the approval of the proposed First Amendment to the Colfax

Business District No.1 Redevelopment Plan and the designation of an Amended Business District

Redevelopment Area.

At the hearing, any interested person may file a written objection with the Village Clerk and may be heard orally

with respect to any matters embodied in this Notice. The Village shall hear and determine all alternate proposals

or bids for any proposed conveyance, lease, mortgage, or other disposition by the Village of land or rights in

land owned by the Village and located within the Amended Business District Redevelopment Area, including

all protests and objections at the Public Hearing. The Village invites any person to submit written comments,

alternate proposals, or bids at or before the date of the Public Hearing to the Village at the following address:

The First Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan and Area complies with the provisions of the “Business

District Development and Redevelopment Act” (65 ILCS 5/11-74.3 et. seq.). For further information, please

2. Advise on Village’s intent to approve an Amendment to the Business District Redevelopment Plan, designate

a Business District Redevelopment Area, and the rate of tax to be imposed pursuant to the BD Act.
