Village of Colfax Citizen of the Year 2025

The Village of Colfax is seeking nominations for the Village of Colfax Citizen of Year for 2025. 

Requirements for Citizen of the Year Award

• Must be a resident of the Village of Colfax.

• Must be nominated by another resident of the Village of Colfax who will complete a one-page narrative explaining why this person should become a citizen of the year.

• Must be caring, thoughtful, kind and considerate person that goes forward with helping others.

• Must be community-minded, willing to help others and volunteers for different projects and tasks that benefit the Village of Colfax and/or its residents.

Procedures

• Requests for nominations are due to be submitted by June 30, 2026 to the Village of Colfax Office.

• Selection Committee of three people, not necessarily from Village of Colfax, to screen nominees and select up to three finalists to be submitted to the Village of Colfax Board of Trustees.

• Determination of Winner for 2025 will be on July 6, 2026 at the Board of Trustees meeting.

• A plaque will be presented to the winner and another plaque will be prominently displayed in the Village of Colfax Conference Room showing the annual recipients of the award.
