��At the June 2, 2008� Colfax Village Board meeting Ordinance #2008-3, "An Ordinance Regulating Storm Water Control"�was passed to add a Storm Water Fee to the Water and Sewer bills.� This fee was established in order to set up a fund for future drainage�tile issues which might arrise.� The Village spent approximately $20,000 this past year repairing old�drainage tile�through the Village�from Cooper Street to Main Street.�

The $3.00 fee which started on the July water bill will be added to all water/sewer bills each month.� If in the future the Village Board sees that enough money is built up and no projects have to be done, the fee can be dropped for a period of time and then restarted if needed.

Anyone wishing to see a copy of this ordinance can come to the Village Clerk's office during regular business hours and read it.�
