Due to the recorder not working properly these are the minutes for January, 2013.

The regular monthly meeting of the Village Board of Colfax was called to order on Monday evening, February 4, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Ricardo Onken.

Trustees present were: Rick Vance - Aye; David Rathke - Aye; Jason Pierce - Aye; Carol Stephenson - Aye; Lonnie Meiner - Aye; Rick Wagoner - Aye;

Also present were Village Treasurer Linda Hanson; Police Chief Michael Scott; Superintendent Damon Getty.

Trustee Lonnie Meiner made a motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes and approve as presented. Trustee David Rathke seconded the motion. Vote: Rick Vance - Aye; David Rathke - Aye; Jason Pierce - Aye; Carol Stephenson - Aye; Lonnie Meiner - Aye; Rick Wagoner - Aye; Motion carried.

Village Treasurer Linda Hanson gave the Treasurer's Report for the month of January, 2013. Beginning Balance as of 01/01/2013 - $148,809.64; Ending Balance as of 01/31/2013 - $160,636.00; Increase for January, 2013 - $11,827.35.

Trustee Rick Vance made a motion to pay the bills as presented. Trustee Lonnie Meiner seconded the motion. Vote: Rick Vance - Aye; David Rathke - Aye; Jason Pierce - Aye; Carol Stephenson - Aye; Lonnie Meiner - Aye; Rick Wagoner - Aye; Motion carried.

Trustee Lonnie Meiner, Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee, reported on activities for the month.

Trustee David Rathke, Chairman of the Police and Liquor Committee, reported that the Activity Report for the month of January, 2013 is in your folders.

Trustee Rick Wagoner, Chairman of the Water and Sewer Committee,reported on the activities of the Water and Sewer Department for the month of January, 2013.

Trustee Carol Stephenson, Chairman of the Streets and Lights Committee, reported on the activities of the Street Department for the month of January, 2013.

Under Old Business, ESDA Director Shane Beck presented a quote last month from Ragan Communications for a new ESDA radio.

Trustee Rick Wagoner made a motion to accept the quote in the amount of $2,401.30 which includes the license fee not to exceed $100.00 per month from Ragan Communications for the ESDA radio. Trustee Rick Vance seconded the motion. Vote: Rick Vance - Aye; David Rathkie - Aye; Jason Pierce - Aye; Carol Stephenson - Aye; Lonnie Meiner - Aye; Rick Wagoner - Aye; Motion carried.

The first item under New Business was regarding a new recycling program from Allied Waste. This was tabled until next month when Dan Winters will be here to do a presentation.

Items two and three under New Business were both tabled until next month.

Trustee Lonnie Meiner made a motion to pay Brian Hereford $12.00 per hour for weekends and holidays in the Public Works Department. Trustee Rick Wagoner seconded the motion.
