* * * * REMINDER ON PAST DUE BILLS * * * *

BECAUSE OF COLD WEATHER THE VILLAGE HAS BEEN UNABLE TO SHUT WATER OFF FOR PAST DUE BILLS BUT WITH WARM WEATHER COMING THAT WILL NOT BE THE CASE. JUST A REMINDER THAT IF YOUR WATER BILL IS PAST DUE UNLESS YOU HAVE CONTACTED THE VILLAGE CLERK AND TALKED TO HER THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF YOUR BILL IS DUE - NOT JUST THE PRIOR BALANCE BY THE 23RD OF THE MONTH.

IF A CHECK IS RETURNED FROM THE BANK - FOR ANY REASON - IT IS AUTOMATICALLY A DISCONNECT AND THE VILLAGE WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT YOUR CHECK AS PAYMENT ON WATER/SEWER BILLS.

IF YOU CALL IN THE EVENINGS AND LEAVE A MESSAGE SAYING YOU WILL HAVE MONEY TO THE VILLAGE ON A CERTAIN DATE FOR WATER PAYMENT, PLEASE BE SURE THAT THE MONEY GETS HERE. IF THE MONEY IS FOR A DISCONNECT NOTICE AND ISN'T HERE IN THE VILLAGE CLERK'S OFFICE WHEN IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE YOUR SERVICE WILL BE DISCONNECTED.

THE VILLAGE WILL NO LONGER "HOLD" CHECKS FOR PAYMENT OF WATER BILLS. DO NOT DROP A CHECK IN THE DROP BOX WITH A NOTE SAYING TO HOLD THE CHECK FOR ANYWHERE FROM ONE TO TWO WEEKS. IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS PAYING YOUR BILL THEN YOU NEED TO CONTACT THE VILLAGE CLERK'S OFFICE.

IF YOUR WATER HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED AND YOU HAVE PAID AN ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT ON YOUR WATER BILL ACCOUNT YOUR WATER BILLS MUST BE PAID ON TIME - EVERY MONTH - FOR THREE YEARS IN ORDER TO GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL $100.00 DEPOSIT ON YOUR ACCOUNT.
